The Tobacco and Vapes Bill has cleared its final reading in the House of Commons, with MPs formally approving amendments made by the House of Lords.
During the 23 March debate, there was cross-party support for the ambition of a ‘smoke-free generation’. However, MPs also highlighted the need for strong enforcement against illicit sales, alongside concerns from some about the ‘illiberal’ nature of the Bill.
